International Friendly: Super Eagles hold draw to Ukraine in Dnipro

Ukraine 2-2 Nigeria: Full Time

 Super Eagles of Nigeria have held draw to Ukraine in international friendly game at Dnipro-Arena.

The long awaited friendly match kicked off around 19:30 GMT (7:30PM) without the presence of some Key super eagles’ player like Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, and Kenneth Omeruo.

New eagles player Joe Aribo opens the score line at early minutes of the game.

Nigeria got a penalty advantage when Samuel Kalu was fouled in Ukraine’s penalty area. Victor Osimhen scored the penalty goal to double Eagles lead at 34 minutes.

Manchester city defender zinchenko scored for his side, Ukraine around 78 minutes to ease the pressure.

Within two minutes interval, Ukraine came back and leveled the score as the substitute Yaremchuk netted the second goal.

However, the match ended in draw. Ukraine 2-2 Nigeria.

The international friendly is for preparation for 2021 AFCON and 2022 World Cup according to the Technical Director of Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr.
