U23 AfCON Qualifiers: Nigeria thrashes Sudan, qualifies for AFCON 2019

U23 AFCON Qualifiers: Nigeria 5 -0 Sudan (Aggregates 5-1)

Nigeria U23 Eagles thrashed Sudan under 23  by 5:0 in the second legs of U23 AFCON qualifiers today at Asaba stadium, Delta State, Nigeria. 

Awoniyi put Nigeria ahead at around 8 minutes of the encounter; the early goal gave eagles more confidence.

Olympic Eagles also extended the lead as Ndifreke scored the second goal at around 26 minutes to increasing pressure on the opponent.

Ndifreke again put the ball into the net, thus tripled the score lines.

Nigeria really impressed superbly in the first half of the game with fantastic play as eagles dominated in ball positions. (Nigeria leads by 3:0, aggregate 3:1.).

Nigeria kept pushing for goals as Falaye came behind and nodded the fourth goal.

Sanusi also came behind and nodded ball into the net around 68 minutes, making it 5:0 lead over Sudan.

In fact at that moment, Sudan‘s hope got lost as U23 Eagles lead in goal aggregates with a big margin.

U23 Eagles has a brilliant performance today at Asaba Stadium, after a defeat at Al-Merrikh Stadium, Omdurman, in Sudan.
