Real Madrid has won 2019/2020 Spanish supercopa after a 4:1 penalty shoot-out victory against Athletico Madrid in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday night.
It was a tough encounter as both side struggled it out to the end with no goal.
Federico Valverde got red card as he saved Real Madrid when he knocked down Moratta from scoring towards the end of the second half of the extra time.
Valverde was given man of the Match award after he gave Madrid a glorious chance to win the Super Cup.
As matter of facts, the game ended in penalty shoot out with luck on Real Madrid side as they played the penalty with out lossing any one.
This was first time Spanish supercopa was played with four teams.
Real Madrid reached final after victory against Valencia while Athletico Madrid secured a supercopa final ticket after a narrow win over FC Barcelona. The victory made it 11 tittle for Real Madrid.
The competition was announced on 12 November 2019, that the Supercopa would be played with four teams, and would be held at King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah , Saudi Arabia for the next three years, in a deal worth over 120 million Euros.
